At the end of the month, Sunshine Biopharma will take delivery from Beta Pharma Canada two items:

• Adva-27a Compound
• Scale-up Manufacturing Protocol

The Adva-27a Compound part of the delivery is the actual Adva-27a drug which Beta Pharma Canada had synthesized and put through rigorous structure validation and chemical characterization processes including HPLC, Mass Spec and NMR (H, F, COSY, HMQC) analyses. Sunshine Biopharma will perform specific biological analyses on the material for confirmation of biological activity. These are standard procedures in initial drug manufacturing processes.
The Scale-up Manufacturing Protocol, which is the second part of the delivery from Beta Pharma Canada, will be vetted by Sunshine Biopharma then transferred to the large-scale (over 1 kilogram range) manufacturer for large-scale process development and manufacturing under GMP conditions. The material produced under GMP conditions will be used by Sunshine Biopharma to conduct IND-Enabling Studies and Phase I Clinical Trials in humans.
